Privacy Policy

RoadMark ("the App") is developed by Carters Compass, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

Summary: RoadMark does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any server. All vehicle, maintenance, and service history data you enter is stored locally on your device only.

Information We Do Not Collect RoadMark does not require an account, login, or sign-up of any kind. We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any personally identifying information. We do not use analytics services, advertising trackers, or third-party data collection tools. We do not have access to, and cannot view, any vehicle or maintenance information you enter into the App.

Information Stored on Your Device The App stores the following information locally on your device, using a private on-device database that only the App can access:

Vehicle details you enter (nickname, year, make, model, fuel type, mileage)
Maintenance tasks and intervals you set up or customize
Service history you log (dates, mileage, cost, notes)
Your notification preferences

This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it yourself (for example, using the App's built-in export feature to share a service history report via email, messaging, or another app of your choosing). We have no access to files you choose to share this way.

Permissions the App Requests

Notifications: Used to alert you when maintenance is due soon or overdue. You can decline this permission and still use the App; you simply won't receive reminders.
Ignore Battery Optimizations: Requested to help ensure background reminder checks run reliably. This is optional - declining it does not prevent you from using the App, though reminders may be less reliable on some devices as a result.

Children's Privacy RoadMark is not directed at children and is not designed to collect information from anyone. Because we do not collect any personal data from any user, we do not knowingly collect data from children either.

Changes to This Policy If this Privacy Policy changes - for example, if a future version of the App adds optional cloud sync or account features - we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
